Cuillin (Glencoe)

In fact, the very first scene of Season 1, Episode 1 opens with a breathtaking shot of Glencoe’s dramatic landscape — misty mountains, rugged terrain, and wild beauty. It sets the tone for the entire series, emphasizing Scotland’s haunting history and natural grandeur. While Glencoe isn’t a frequent filming location throughout the series, that iconic opening shot has become symbolic of the show and is one of the most recognized images associated with Outlander.
