Highland Coos

Highland cows do appear in the Outlander. These iconic, long-haired Scottish cows are used occasionally to set the scene and reinforce the authentic Scottish Highland landscape. While they are not major characters or involved in the plot, they appear in background shots and scenic transitions throughout the series, particularly in the earlier seasons set in 18th-century Scotland.
