Glencoe Blackrock Cottage

Glencoe: While the cottage itself was not used for filming, the breathtaking valley of Glencoe was used for several background and driving scenes in Outlander. The dramatic scenery helps set the tone for the Scottish Highlands. Blackness Castle: The castle that many fans mistake for a cottage is actually Blackness Castle, located near Edinburgh. In the series, this is the location used for Fort William, the headquarters of the brutal Black Jack Randall.
