Hermitage (Hut)
The Hermitage near Dunkeld in Perthshire was used as a filming location in Outlander. Specifically, scenes set in the forests of the American colonies were filmed there. The Hermitage's dramatic woodland, featuring towering Douglas firs and the striking Black Linn Falls, provided an atmospheric backdrop for these scenes. The location was used in both Season 4 and Season 5 of the series.
🎬 Filming Details
During filming, The Hermitage's dense forest and dramatic waterfalls were transformed to represent the wilderness of 18th-century America.
